Picture Album

While we were in Rogers this weekend for my brother's wedding, Clay's aunt and cousins came down from Missouri to meet Gracie. Cousin Lauren and Rebecca brought their cameras and took some amazing photos in the hotel room. Clay and I were not prepared to be photographed (as you will see), but Gracie sure looks cute!

My Lil' Bro's Wedding

My brother David married the love of his life, Elizabeth, this past Saturday. Here are some pics from the big event. I cried my eyes out, but Gracie slept through the whole thing!

Muscle Baby

Gracie is one week old today and can already hold her head up for a bit. Check out the videos.

Impressive, huh? She also rolled over from her stomach to her back yesterday. I'm sure it was a fluke, but still pretty cool for a one week old (we're not proud or anything :)

My Story...

I have been writing this post for 4 days now! Being a mommy is time consuming! But I love every minute of it. Well, here is my labor and delivery story. On the due date, Thursday June 5th, Clay and I went to bed, but neither of us could sleep. Around 10:30, my water broke, and we excitedly got everything together to head to Baptist. We arrived around 11:30 and my contractions started at 12:00. They were already 2 minutes apart, so I figured things would go quickly. However, an epidural and 13 long hours later, I was "complete" and began to push. I had awesome labor and delivery nurses, and my husband was da bomb! After 2 long hours of pushing, doc Singleton said we needed to use the forceps. If they didn't work, then a C-section would have been necessary. Thankfully, lil' Gracie came out with the use of forceps and was absolutely perfect! I had a level 4 tear and even at one week have a bit of recovery ahead of me, but I know I will heal, and I am grateful that Gracie is so healthy!

Meet Gracie...

Grace Lillian Glasgow was born on June 6, 2008 at 1:54 p.m. She weighed in at 8 lbs 4 oz, and measured 21 1/4 inches. All is well - we arrived home this afternoon. Mother and baby are doing well. Here are some pictures of our first couple of days together in the hospital.

40 weeks and counting

Could this be the last belly shot before Gracie arrives? Or will we have a photo for week 41 when we induce June 11th?
Here I am last night after a walk standing in front of our beautiful hydrangea bushes. We inherited them when we moved in last summer, and neighbors have told us they're the prettiest on the block! Now we just have to try and keep them that way.

Kekoa!

We visited with beautiful Kekoa this afternoon. Mom looks awesome and is doing well, and Daddy couldn't be prouder! It has been so much fun sharing this pregnancy with Iris, and we look forward to spending time with them as Kekoa and Gracie grow together!

Second place is okay.....

Well, Iris is in labor already, so I guess she is going to win the race! We had the same due date (June 5th) and her little cutie decided to come early. Both Clay and myself came on our exact due dates, so there is still hope I'll go into labor this week. Or, Gracie will just take her precious time....
